Apple Puree
Another way to freeze apples, is to make apple puree.
Ingredients:
Apples
Water
Method:
Peel core and slice the apples quickly to prevent browning.
Simmer in a saucepan with a little water until soft.
Ensure you are stirring the mixture as you need to prevent it sticking.
Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Freeze as it is or blend until smooth.
Additional Notes:
A versatile way to freeze apples as can be used in sauces, pies and numerous puddings.

The apple can be frozen for up to 8 months.
