This is how you freeze Herbs.
Preparation
Divide the herbs into sprigs, strip off the leaves or chop finely.
You can blanch sprigs to increase storage life in the freezer.
Packaging
Pack whole sprigs and leaves in labelled and dated freezer bags or containers.
Pack chopped herbs into freezer ice cube trays, freeze until solid and then pack into labelled and dated freezer bags or containers.
Thawing
You can crumble the frozen sprigs or leaves directly onto food.
Add frozen cubes into cooked dishes or thaw them at room temperature.
Storage Time
Sprigs and leaves 2 - 3 months
Blanched and cubed for 8 to 10 months
