Pumpkin
Pumpkin can be a useful vegetable to learn to freeze. Here is how to freeze pumpkin.
Preparation
Peel, remove seeds, and cut into pieces.
Bake, boil or steam until soft, and then drain.
Mash if you wish. Leave to cool.
Packaging
Pack mashed or pieces in labelled and dated freezer bags. Freezer containers are also suitable.
Thawing
Reheat from frozen in double boiler.
Alternatively, thaw in containers for 2 hours at room temperature and then use.
