Banana Split
An excellent recipe and loved by children of all ages! I always feel a little less bad about serving ice cream when I know they will be eating the banana as well! Top with extra fresh fruit if you wish.
Ingredients:
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
1 scoop of chocolate ice cream
1 scoop of strawberry ice cream
1 ripe banana
2 tbsp. chocolate syrup
2 tbsp. chopped nuts
Whipped cream
Cherry.
Method:
Line up ice cream scoops next to each other in the serving dish.
Cut the ends of the banana off (about 1/4 inch) while still in the peel and then slice the banana in half longways.
Pop each half of the banana out of the peel onto each side of the ice cream row, pressing down and in a little so it'll stay put.
Top the vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and chopped nuts.
Top with some whipped cream and a cherry.
Serve immediately.
Additional Notes:
Make this recipe your own. Choose the flavour of ice cream, toppings and sauces. Add fruit to it if you wish.
Pile it high and make a family-sized banana split which you can all enjoy from one big bowl!

Freezing Notes:
You cannot freeze this recipe, but you can use frozen ice cream and top with frozen fruit if you wish.
